Relax and unwind with these three self-care tips for autumn

Even life on the farm can feel a bit hustle and bustle during the autumn months as we ramp things up for Christmas! Since we’re feeling the rush we though it might be a great time to slow things down and focus a bit on self-care.

We’ve selected these things to help you relax and take-in all that autumn has to offer!

Journal

Journalling, particularly as the leaves change, can be such a healthy way to escape, a way to acknowledge our thoughts and feelings, and even to vent if we’re feeling frustrated.

Autumn is the time of year that most represents change, and is a perfect time to take a look at your life — did you accomplish what you set out to this year? Do you need to declutter to feel more at peace? Or change your work habits to give yourself more work-life balance?

Ultimately, it’s up to you, but give your self space and time to make the change you want in your life. Be patient and keep pushing!

Unplug for one day

This is a big one for us, since we’re open 7 days a week there’s hardly a time when we don’t have our phones on to take orders, answer questions, or handle deliveries! But, even with all of that sometimes, we have to shut the phone off.

We know life can move so fast these days and to help stay focused balanced and present in the moment it can be important to schedule times when your phone is off. Spend it with family. Spend the time journalling. Spend the time reading your favourite book. Basically, anything but being on your phone (don’t worry we’re all a bit guilty here).

Unplugging from technology can be scary, but it can also help you relax and refocus on what’s really important in your life. We highly recommend you try it to see if it works for you!
