The Ribble Valley, whilst regarded by many as a sleepy, rural part of the North West, is packed with a whole range of fabulous places to visit.  Staying over?… we can help with that. Hungry? – we know a few places. Got children? – we’ve got the perfect idea. Shopping? -ahem….! We thought we would narrow down a few places and let you do the rest!

So, in no particular order…

The Higher Buck: A traditional informal pub atmosphere with some modern tasteful touches, offering excellent food & seven beautifully furnished bedrooms.  With much of their food produced locally plus a well stocked bar serving fine local ales as well as an impressive wine list you will not be disappointed!

2. Benedicts of Whalley: Listed at number 9 in The Times top 25 places in the UK for brunch in 2014 and listed again in November 2015 you cannot not afford to miss this little delight. Located in the centre of the picturesque village of Whalley it has become the perfect place to meet up with friends. An extension of the café bar is B’s Delicatessen which stocks the best produce the farmers and food producers of Lancashire have to offer alongside unusual and exotic treats from further afield.

3. Northote:  Chef Patron Nigel Haworth, together with Managing Director Craig Bancroft and the team are dedicated to their vision of ensuring the perfect experience at Northcote. 8. Clitheroe Castle: Clitheroe Castle Museum stands high on Castle Hill, in the shadow of the keep, an image which has dominated Clitheroe’s skyline for over 800 years. It tells the story of Clitheroe and its surrounding area: the formation of the land 350 million years ago; the people who have lived in the area – their work, their homes, their leisure times; and legends and folklore. 10. Melt:  Well surely we can mention melt… wake up relaxed from your night in the Ribble valley, enjoy a stroll around the Castle, bring out the artist in you at Paint Pot, collect a bottle of wine (for later!) from D Byrne, book your meal at whichever of the above takes your fancy and then leave a hour to visit us.  We have prosecco….
