Karo-Karounde is a genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. There are about 19 species. They are all native to Africa, where most occur in rainforest habitat. The scent, which is apparently very potent in the wild, has been described as somewhat similar to jasmine, but woodier, spicier and more herbal.
