Ordered Saddle for the umpteenth time – I love the look, colour and especially the perfume of this candle. It is an old friend and is exactly how I want my home to smell. I love it.
This is a tricky review to write because I LOVE saddle. It is my long standing favourite candle and usually would not hesitate to recommend it. However, I was given a short & fat saddle candle as a housewarming gift by a friend who knows it is my favourite, and it is so muted. I can hardly smell anything from it at all! Not the scent and quality I would normally expect from Melt.

I have had several melt candles and liked them all but saddle is a definite favourite. They have an amazing smell which lasts to the last bit of the candle without fading. Definitely worthy every penny. I sent some candles for Christmas presents last year and they were very well received.

Early days with Melt candles but I can say delivery was as promised and the candles were packaged perfectly. The aroma from the candle has such a soothing feel and makes our “Snug” the perfect room to relax in. Finally and perhaps most importantly the burning of this Melt candle is perfection. Loved it from the first time I smelt it several years ago now.What a candle! My mum had one burning in her house and it smelled amazing! I bought one for my much smaller flat and the whole flat smells delightful… not too pungent, but leaves the whole flat with a cozy feel to it! Its calming and greatly helped me to chill out after a long day at work… Will be buying multiple as Christmas gifts, as suitable for men and women alike
The only scented candles I buy, a gorgeous range of scents for every room and occasion, though Saddle is a particular favourite … the perfume is released as soon as the beautiful packaging is opened and fills the room even before the candle is lit. My first Melt candle purchased 2 weeks ago – Saddle. Beautifully fragranced which lingers long after candle is snuffed. Warming and woody smell yet provocative at the same time. I bought one of these last year and loved it so reordered another to see us through winter this year. It’s such a warming and cosy aroma but never cloying. Love it! The candle lasts ages too, especially if you make sure you trim the wick after each burn.

MELT candles are the best. In my opinion they equal Joe Malone and easily beat Yankee and Partylite candles by a country mile.

What can I say? For me Saddle is up there with classics such as ; Chanel no.19, LBD, Cashmere Sweater, Silk underwear. It’s a most sumptuous fragrance, strong but not overwhelming, masculine yet also sensuous & feminine. Basically it’s a glorious scent that fills the room even when unlit. Melt offer the best customer service bar none in my experience which just adds to the uniqueness of their products.

This is the first time I have purchased such an expensive candle, so this is a real treat. It smells divine and even when not lit it still permeates the room. I would say I’d rather spend that little extra on this because it is such a strong fragrance. The service was very good and I would probably purchase more than one next time due to the delivery cost.

I love saddle, it fills the home with a whole lot of yumminess and people always comment on how lovely my home smells. Ordered more for the NY and in the meantime I recommend getting the Christmas candle for December, it is gorgeous and not too sweet or overpowering. I first discovered Saddle in a travel candle bought at a museum and I have loved it ever since. I order the largest one I can and it lasts for ages. It is a clean smell but I agree with another reviewer that it is very sensual. I love the fact that the perfume permeates my flat even when the candle is not lit. When I open the front door I can smell it and it means home. I love the customer service from Melt, they are honestly the best company I have ever dealt with. Really relaxed but very efficient.

Melt candles are the type of product which will convince you to never shop elsewhere. The fragrance is so rich and even when it’s not lit gives a lovely atmosphere to the room.
I’m obsessed with this particular fragrance, I can’t imagine a better smell! And even the packaging and little personally handwritten, waxed sealed envelope makes Melt the best candle and fragrance company in the UKI love these candles, the only ones I am happy with scent wise, just an hours burn and the smell is wonderful, so short burst and long lasting. At the end of life I keep the remaining wax in the bathroom, the smell lingers for ages.

I love this luxurious and gorgeous fragrance. This is the most "me" scent ever – this statement may not be helpful to others 😉 but, I am a person who loves deep, strong and spicy scents with a pinch of darkness in sandal and patchouli. This one also drills my senses with a note of cedar.
This is the first candle I order repeatedly. I usually keep it in my living room, and light up for an hour or so. Candle smells palpably even not burning.
Aroma is noticeable but subtle, never boring or overwhelming. Just like someone wearing perfumes you love appeared for a little moment and left your room with the scent around.Yet again, a fix of my favourite candle scent. These will be for Christmas presents, next time will be for me:-)

I usually only buy this candle as a christmas treat but i took advantage of the NAKED offer and had an autumn treat. As soon as I put it in the lounge my teenage kids came in saying that it smelled like christmas and that this is the smell they associate with home.
It’s a rich, warm fragrance that reminds me of a cross betwen a temple and a library. it’s not a floral smell. For me, it’s the crack cocaine of the candle world.

Smelled alright in the tin but I didn’t think it was anything special. Then I lit it and have fallen in love with this scent. Even the small travel size filled our living room with a fresh, warm, masculine, but not overly woody or musky, fragrance. I love deliciously complex scents so I’ve already ordered a larger one.
Once you’ve smelled Saddle you realise at least one of your rooms needs to have it at this time of the year especially. I save this one for the dining room and go in just to smell it whether it’s burning or not. I save the tissue wrapping paper as a first layer of wrapping paper on gifts so others can get the benefit of the scents! The personalised style emails and little notes in the parcels are a lovely touch. Delighted again as ever with my order. Thank you.

This was my first Melt candle. I’d heard that they smell gorgeous but had never smelt one. I am extremely fussy when it comes to scented things so was very nervous after I’d ordered one. Why was I worried? This is THE most gorgeous smelling and looking candle I’ve come across. If you like rustic looking candles with a true multi toned depth of natural smelling scents that fill the house, then this is the candle for you. My only regret is that I haven’t had one til now. This is my fourth Saddle candle and I just love the fragrance. I really dont like the trend for candles to smell of foods like vanilla or toffee apple, I want my candles to have a beautiful a perfume and Saddle fits that bill.

Just wonderful products from this company! My only problem is deciding which fragrances to buy. Saddle is by far my favorite but I have also purchased the Violet and Black Pepper, Burgundy and Forest scented candles. This is the candle that sits by the log burner complete with snoozing labrador- after a day of riding and fresh air- the most wonderful warm enveloping scent which makes you want to cosy up with a glass of wine, stretch out your legs and just breathe the rich notes of Saddle in- fabulous !

Our home (wherever that is at the time) always has a scent of Saddle and that’s why we know it’s home… for whatever length of time that may be!
We worked in France over last winter, bought two of these one for the chalet and guests to appreciate and one for us after work at home…. We were sadly never home long enough to light it, but it is currently in Switzerland lighting our wee home there, and ensuring we have the scent to return to…. after time working away!
It just gives us that COMFORT feeling!I bought this candle whilst visiting Backridge Farm as I liked the shop and it smelt quite nice. I thought I might give it to my mum as a gift however by the time I took it out of my car, the smell was so delicious inside it I wanted to take it home with me instead! Subsequently, it has fragranced my living room whether lit or not – it looks fabulous and burns for ages. I won’t buy any other scented candles now and although its great to spoil my friends (and of course my mum!) with all the different scents, I’m sticking with Saddle.

So hard to choose a favourite candle, because they are all beautiful. Saddle was one of the first candles I bought from Melt some years ago, and I have loved it ever since..
I am still excited when I buy a new one, and I get home and open the tissue paper wrapping. Warm, cosy and spicy. It lingers in the air and seems to adapt its perfume for every occasion, Christmas, dinner parties and quiet nights at home. I used to save them for special occasions, but now I light them every single day and the house smells fantastic. I even savour snuffing the candle out, getting my nose near and taking a final sniff before I go to bed! ……delicious delicious delicious.Can’t help it! Simply gorgeous…and one of my all time favourites. Don’t ever drop it….please!
