Bergamot
Citrus Bergamia is a small tree that blossoms during the winter and produces inedible fruit from which, through the process of cold compress, Bergamot essential oil is produced.
Why we love it in fragrance
The spicy and enlivening scent of Bergamot makes it a perfumers favourite. Used predominantly in the ‘top notes’ of a perfume – the initial aroma perceived when applied – it can be a light shimmer as found in our ‘Wisteria’ and ‘Shine’ candle ranges, or can offer a radiant oriental fragrance – as found in our deep and dark ‘Noir’ range.

Antibiotic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, sedative, analgesic, antidepressant, disinfectant, febrifuge, cicatrisant, digestive.
