Carnation
This scented candle is perfect for Mother’s Day – it denotes love, pure and simple. In fact, carnations are flowers which have traditionally been associated with Mother’s Day. The flower’s associations are rooted (if you’ll pardon the pun) in Christian legends, which established them as a symbol of a mother’s undying love. They’re an embodiment of love, purity and admiration, and many people choose pink carnations specifically to mean ‘you’re always on my mind’. How lovely! Violet & Black Pepper
Our Violet & Black Pepper scented candle is equally ideal for Mother’s Day, although it’s safe to say it’s got a very different feel from Carnation! It’s a classy, sophisticated scent that’s wonderful for marking the occasion, and giving your Mother’s Day present an air of high-end luxury. (And our handmade candles are pretty luxurious already, although we do say so ourselves!) It evokes images of purple velvet skies, of comfort and stillness in the dark of night.
