Interior touches to brighten up your home this spring

Over the last few weeks, we’ve been making sure all your beauty and skincare needs are sorted for spring. Today, it’s all about transforming your home. Just like you, your home deserves a little TLC too and can easily be cheered up for spring. As we know that interior style is a very personal thing, we decided to bring you a whole range of ideas to help you to brighten up your home for the season…

Style with flowers

The spring landscape is all about gorgeous flowers, so why not take advantage of this and bring them into your home. A shabby chic vase is the perfect compliment to your spring blooms. Alternatively, you could opt for some floral artwork, put up especially for spring.

A pretty palette

If you’ve got some time on your hands, why not add a fresh lick of paint to your space. Pastel colours, soft violet, and natural nudes are great choices for spring and will give the feel of a brand new room.

Change up the staples

Updating your home for spring needn’t be time consuming. If you don’t have the time to paint or wallpaper, why not change some of the soft furnishings around the house? Switch your dark rug for a sheepskin number that’s fluffy and bright; switch your cushions for something lighter and brighter in colour; replace your coasters and table accessories with something better suited to the spring – green accessories work really well.

Let in the light

Replace all those heavy curtains with lighter materials. In some rooms, like your kitchen and office space, you might also like to opt for fine material blinds or chic wooden blinds for even more control of your lighting.

Accessories can make the world of difference, so why not add a few seasonal-inspired ones to you home? A pretty wooden or painted birdcage is one of our favourites and would look great when styled with flowers too. Alternatively, you could opt for a beautiful glass lamp – very Laura Ashley!
